Client: RWE Renewables GmbH

Offshore Hydrogen Logistics

RWE developed a conceptual model of an offshore hydrogen platform without grid connection, which can be fed by up to 400 MW of renewable, offshore wind energy. KONGSTEIN was tasked with the first assessment of offshore logistics, including investigating Floating Storage and Offloading Units (FSO), as well as their conversion to Hydrogen, evaluation of various suitable vessel types, development of a loading and unloading concept, and calculation of maintenance OPEX.

The client is an experienced, Norwegian engineering company with core capabilities in automation and industrial engineering. KONGSTEIN engineers and project managers support the client through a Framework Agreement to develop a digital solution for the wind market, including project management, market insights and industry introductions

Floating Offshore Wind Feasibility Installation Concept

A client that is in a process of developing floating offshore wind farms in North America has engaged KONGSTEIN to conduct a feasibility study for an innovative installation concept. This included a technical comparison to traditional T&I concepts as well as CapEx/ OpEx impacts throughout project lifetime.
