Norwegian technical advisory for Offshore Renewable Infrastructure projects, KONGSTEIN, has appointed Torgeir Nærø as their CEO. Nærø comes from the position as President and CEO of Vitek Group Nordic and has a long diverse experience in executive roles, management, and entrepreneurship. He is a marine engineer with a Master of Science degree (MSc) in Business Administration from Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

Chairman of the Board of KONGSTEIN, Thorsten Schütt is pleased to welcome the new CEO of the company to take up his role from January 2nd, 2022.

He has an extensive international leadership experience from the maritime and offshore industries and has proved his capability to building successful organizations and businesses. We are assured that he will lead the company towards further growth in accordance with our markets and strategy”, says Schütt.
Furthermore, KONGSTEIN has also made additional changes in the organizational structure and the Board of Directors aiming at strengthening the corporate profile and identity of the company. The Board members are Thorsten Schütt (Chairman of the Board), Peter Blauwhoff, Sabine Weth and Jacob Kjærgaard.
Schütt has long years in executive management, leadership, and board positions. He brings in high-level knowledge from maritime logistics to the board and the company. He is a business economist expert with a master’s in business administration from Indiana University.
Blauwhoff is also a founding partner at KONGSTEIN. He brings in as well an extensive expertise in board management and leadership within the energy industry. He is a Chemical Engineer and University of Twente graduate.
Weth brings a depth of technical and leadership experience as a trained engineer and trusted executive across offshore wind operations. Currently holding the position of VP of Offshore Wind at Swire Energy Services, Weth is leading the companies M&A and diversification strategy into the offshore wind sector.
Kjærgaard brings a diverse and long expertise to KONGSTEIN. He held and still holds various positions in offshore wind and shipping industries, additionally to board positions, and is currently the Regional Director Europe & Africa, Energy & Projects at Blue Water Shipping. Kjærgaard holds an Executive MBA from BI Aalborg.
